The Advanced Body Sculpting Institute Course Policies

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

In general, all current licensed surgeons may participate in The Institute’s “Hands-on” course. Other physicians may participate in “Observational” or “Around the table” instruction.

The Fundamentals of Body Sculpting "Hands-on" courses requires that the physician must be one of Ten ABMS surgical specialties.

They must also attend a course that directly corresponds to their anatomic areas of expertise. For example, the Abdominal Applications course would be applicable to Obstetric/Gynecological, General, and Vascular Surgeons. The Neck Applications would be applicable to ENTs, etc.)

Depending on course location, specific laws apply regarding hands-on activity.

Courses in the United States:

According to the laws of the Colorado State and California State Medical Directors office, only doctors licensed in the United States or it’s territories who provide professional liability in their specialty are able to participate in the hands on portion of our training courses. The course fee includes temporary malpractice insurance for Lipoplasty the day of hands on surgery regardless of state licensure.

International physicians and physician assistants (PA) attending courses in the US still may attend; however they will attend as observers only, and will not be permitted to scrub in for the cases.
